The Gold Standard
What makes our jewelry worth wearing on repeat.
At Ashley Carson Designs, every detail is intentional—especially when it comes to quality. Our Signature Collection is handcrafted using 14k gold-filled components, a material known for its durability, beauty, and long-lasting shine.
Not to be confused with gold-plated jewelry, gold-filled jewelry is made to withstand life’s everyday moments—without losing its luster.

✨ What is 14k Gold-Filled?
Gold-filled jewelry has a thick, pressure-bonded layer of real 14k gold over a durable base metal (usually brass). It must contain at least 5% real gold by weight, making it significantly more valuable—and longer-lasting—than gold-plated jewelry.
It looks and feels like solid gold, but at a more accessible price point.

Why We Use It
Like the songs that stay with you, our jewelry is made to last.
- Safe for sensitive skin.
- When properly cared for, it can last 25+ years.
- Because the gold is bonded, not dipped.
- We recommend removing it before extended exposure to water, sweat, or products to extend its life.
- A soft cloth and gentle soap are all you need.
Most of our gold-filled pieces are sourced from a family-run supplier in New York City who has been in business for nearly 50 years. Quality is in the roots.
Fun Fact: Gold-filled jewelry was first created in 1817—but due to its production complexity, it’s rarely used outside of chain and wire designs. That’s part of what makes Ashley Carson Designs so special: each piece is handmade, not mass-produced, with timeless materials you don’t find everywhere.

Caring for Your Gold-Filled Jewelry
Your favorite jewelry deserves a little love.
While gold-filled pieces are designed to be durable, a few simple habits will help them shine for years to come:
Do:
- Store pieces in a dry, cool place (a soft pouch or jewelry box is best)
- Gently clean with a soft cloth and mild soap if needed
- Remove jewelry before workouts, swimming, or applying lotions and perfumes
Don’t:
- Expose to harsh chemicals (like chlorine, bleach, or cleaning agents)
- Toss into the bottom of a bag or let pieces tangle
- Sleep in your more delicate pieces (just to be safe!)
Think of your jewelry like a favorite vinyl record—made to last, but it still plays best when you treat it with care.
